Northern MN - 30 minutes from Duluth

Awesome! I've been wanting to get up there to explore. Last few summers we've made a trip to the U.P. in Michigan. Been wanting to change it up and head up to Northern Minnesota. What type of temps is it this time of year?

@VtwinSparky and I are down in St. Paul. Other members are from the cities too. Looks like a great way to have fun on the weekend. we should all get together for coffee and pickled herring, sometime, somewhere.

It's in the mid 30s to mid 40s. Not too bad since you're in the rig most of the time. Nice and refreshing when you get out.

@NorthStar96...both herring and coffee sound good to me.

From your trip is there any places you could recommend stopping by or camping at in the Duluth, MN area?

We need to get an event going on this year. I feel like every state has fun stuff to do except for MN...It just sucks that you have to travel to the very northern end of the state to find decent trails.

It’s just two of us going this weekend but I will send a report to you guys about the Duluth area. I am expecting it to be a great time.

We just need to get a group together to meet and see what people’s rigs are capable of. Even a fall or winter camp out would be fun!

I'm just rolling in a stock 4wd Avalanche so I wouldn't be up for any rock crawling. What I see in the photos in the first post wouldn't be any problem at all. How gnarly does it get up there?
