Northen england meet up

There has been some chat about a northern england meet up. this sounds like a great idea. Can I suggest that the Tan Hill inn ( highest pub in england ) would be a good place, maybe a weekend thing as they have camping available .

We should organise a meet, absolutely, but we've tried the Tan Hill in the past, and camping is very exposed and not ideal for overland trucks. If there's a risk of wind I wouldn't even contemplate a roof tent.

been up there camping on a moterbike, seemed ok to me, If I can manage it on a 550 hardtail chop I think I'll be alright in the land rover

You park at the bottom and we will carry all your gear up Its only a hill

Getting there isn't the problem, it's the exposed camping for bigger tents, or roof tents that will be. Never been there when it's not blowing a gale, especially this time of year.
