I’m new to Overlanding and looking for some nice easy trails to take my daughter on this spring/summer. Day trips and maybe 1 night trips...

I want to ease my way into learning my limits. I don’t have any substantial recovery gear yet....but plan on it. So scenic service roads and such is what I’m looking for.

Any recommendations?

You could try the Yuba gold fields:
39.214145,-121.394903

I think a fun intro would be Poker Flats trail and a good 1 nighter. But you do want to go with another rig:
39.558018,-120.834354

You could also just explore the forest roads in the Bowman Lakes complex. Tons of places to camp and spider webs of forest roads:
39.354994,-120.661626

You can also explore Ice House Road and the lake campgrounds over there. Gets crowded now though:
38.773962,-120.455818

What area of California are you in.
