My loss, your gain..
I have two of these packages I put together, everything is new and sealed in the boxes/packages. The most incredible and powerful (40 Watt!!) GMRS radio out there. Includes repeated channels too, just a really great radio in a small package. I know Michael just tested this out and many others are running it as well. These two kits have everything you need to get going- the only thing you will want to purchase is the antenna mount that is pretty specific to your vehicle.

Each package includes;

1. Midland 40 Watt MXT400 Radio (retail $249.00) https://midlandusa.com/product/mxt400-micromobile-2-way-radio-2/
2.Midland 6DB Gain Antenna (retail $35.00) https://midlandusa.com/product/micromobile-mxta11-6db-gain-antenna/
3.Midland 3 Meter Antenna Cable (retail $10.00) https://midlandusa.com/product/mxta7-3m-antenna-cord/
4.Midland External Speaker (retail $23.00) https://midlandusa.com/product/21-406/

Willing to sell each package for $249 plus $10.00 for shipping. I can compbine shipping if you want both units.

I have a question, primarily because I don't know the difference between HAM, GMRS, and FRS, how does this setup compare to a HAM setup? Because looking at the info on it, it sounds like it can use repeaters like a HAM would correct?

Well, I'd put this radio way ahead of CB/FRS but before HAM. You DO need to be licensed for these radios and they indeed have repeater capabilities built in (at least this model) so they work killer for groups and long range comms with portables and Mobiles in the mix. You can't talk to China on these like you can on a ham and I think gmrs is really going to replace the CB for very basic and inexpensive comms

Awesome. What license would I need? The HAM tested license, or the "pay to play" GMRS license? I would assume both, because of the basic HAM capabilities. Guessing by group comms you mean close range/trail? Thanks for the help.

Just need the gmrs license which is really why gmrs is becoming so popular. And a 40 watt mobile is really spectacular. Yeah think about a line of 20 rigs with you in the middle. You have the repeated radio. That means the first guy in line can communicate with the last guy in line because the radio in the middle is repeating the signal. I've found this MOST helpful when people on the trail are using those cheap portable GMRS radios that don't have much range due to low wattage. Now they are really effective.
