We have just heard (because we are looking for camping) that all California National Forests will be closing tomorrow 31st) and will be reevaluated on September 17.

We are shunted to Napa (not a horrible diversion) by the fires but are hoping Yosemite remains open at this point.

Yep, there were no problems. There was some smoke rolling in the day we left, so timing worked out very well.

Yosemite remains open, but probably full of people.
I may visit in the winter when the crowd is smaller.
