Newbie question

I am brand new to offroading, have never done it before. I have a 2017 ford F1 50 4 x 4 completely stock. Are there any places I can go with a stock vehicle? I plan on upgrading and lifting but that will come a little later. I live in Manteca.

I was hoping to do the trail by Alpine Lake (slick rock) but I don’t know if that is too much for my vehicle to handle.

Not too sure where Manteca is but you can def go places in a stock F150. I did many trails in stock form when I first got my F150. You just have to be aware of the trail and what sort of challenges if any it will have

I was thinking of getting some skid plates as a first upgrade to protect my undercarriage and a 2 inch level. Is that a good start?

I don't have skids plates on mine and I have been on some decent trails.

I would do leveling kit and tires. It's amazing what a good set of all terrain tires will do.
