Hi all,
East coaster here. I'm preparing for my first trip to Expo Mountain West this summer and then on to Ouray. I'd like to meet up with and potentially travel with a couple of rigs after the Expo show to do some trails near Ouray and Telluride. I'm in a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk (winch, armor, etc) and have experience with dispersed camping in my part of the country but not in Colorado. I've been a passenger on Black Bear, Imogene, and Yankee Boy so I'm a bit familiar with the area. I'd like to get a feel for what types of wild camping opportunities exist there, and on the less-intense trails in the southwest part of the state. We are an older couple and not looking for anything crazy.
