Howdy yall, the name’s John. Slowly getting into overlanding, but been camping and outdoors-ing all my life. My pandemic project was a trailer I built from scratch because I’m too tall to sleep comfortably in my ‘06 Tacoma. Hopefully I can figure out how to post a pic with this intro. I can never leave well enough alone, so I’m in the midst of a solid axle swap on my truck. Love going to the beach, but want to branch out and go elsewhere too as time/funds permit.

Hello John (@LoneStarMatterhorn ), welcome to Overland Bound. I am your Southwest Region Member Rep for Texas. Nice setup you have. Beach trips are definitely more doable in CTX since they are closer. I enjoy the mountains too, but like you said, time/funds limit these trips for me as well.

We have a local monthly meet up in Round Rock the first Saturday of the month: Recurring - North Central Texas Meet & Greet Hope to see you there.
