Hello, my name is Jimmy, I’m from San Antonio, just signed up today. A little nervous about this because I have a 2013 2wd Silverado, but it does have G80 locking diff. It’s also raised, just need some A/T tires.
Are there any places where I can go that maybe might not be that technical, I feel that my truck will be capable of handling a lot, just maybe not rock crawling lol. Really excited about this. Thank you

Welcome to Overland Bound

Except for dedicated off road parks most all Texas has to offer is country roads due to little public land, except Big Bend of course. I am not sure how much the few local national forest have to offer in the way of trails.
Your truck should be fine for most anything, however it would be good to build a nice recovery/traction aid kit. Chains (can help in mud), traction boards, straps, WINCH (or a highlift can be used with chains/straps to make a winch setup, though slow and manually operated it can work.).

Hey man, overlanding isn't about off roading. It's vehicle dependent travel. You don't have to go to some technical course to get around. Just don't over estimate your vehicle.

welcome! you have a great rig. i have a tundra 4x4 without a locking diff and hardly ever use 4x, so youre every bit as capable as a good majority of stuff out there.
