So I just relocated to the Portland Area from Chicago and could use some help with routes/trails to take my samurai out on. Any input you might be wiling to share would be greatly appreciated.

Oh man...
Just playing around for a couple hours? Ladee Flats just past Estacada
Whole day of offroad without getting far from home? Tillamook St Forest. There are enough trails and roads for many weekends
Another day of fun close to home? Nicolai Mtn
Longer trip? Any of the Oregon back country routes (there are many). Barlow Trail over Mt Hood. Trask Trail. Sand Lake.

I also have a TON of downloaded GPX files that I can share.

Thanks for the invite but I'm having some cooling issues right now. Might be a week or so before it's trail worthy again. Hopefully can take you up on it soon

Eastern Oregon also has a lot to offer.
Totally agree! I used to spend a lot of time at the Whitehorse and Alder Creek Ranches down that way and grew to love the area. My grandparents/aunts/uncles had a place on Strawberry Mt in John Day - spent a little time there as a wee one but don't really remember it - but have subsequently driven through and want to go back. Also a huge fan of Bend, I think anybody here would be ;)
