I know a full independent suspension is not ideal but I'll find something to do more than likely

From the info I have gathered independent suspension is not necessarily a bad thing I think that it is how you have it set up and how you drive. I have seen some pretty insane rock crawlers with full I.S.

Just joined this week, OB#3924 and here in Charleston as well. I will be looking for others to join, as you said, not as many flat landers around.
I'm actively putting together my rig, which includes a Conqueror UEV-490 Caravan (big crew here). Looking forward to meeting others around.
