New possible long term "camper" project

  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Bought this low milage (126000 km/78120 miles) 1986 Volvo 240 a couple years ago that I'm (very) slowly fixing up as extra funds allow, might do a mild camper build at some point in the future.

Very interesting I’ll be following you. The Volvo 240 is a super reliable and very popular car used around the world, I like the wagon it should make a nice platform to build. Good luck hope it comes out good.

Thanks guys, my main concern is getting the internal and external rust issues fixed before anything else, (I'll also get rid of all the chrome plated plastic parts and go for a blue exterior/black interior color theme and eventually swap out the carburated engine/stock automatic gearbox with more powerful engine and stronger automatic gearbox from a Volvo 940 turbo), so updates will be few and far between.
