Hello all,

Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.

I do not have a rig yet (new to overlanding); however, doing research to determine the best fit for me and my family (wife and 3 kids). Live in little Rhode Island but looking to explore surrounding areas. Likely to explore north first (e.g., Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine).

Looking forward to learning from all you!

DJ,

Welcome to the OB community! We are happy to have you with us. If you are looking for a rig make sure you consider aftermarket support. No doubt you are going to want to bolt on a bunch of cool upgrades and camping gear to make the experience next level. Many of the companies out there that make the best overlanding gear and mods only make them for a handful of vehicles. Also, for the more popular vehilces the price of mods is typically more reasonable. For example, I am running a Colorado ZR2. While most compaines make most things for my rig, they are way less expensive for a gladiator or a taco because not that many folks are running ZR2's. Hope that helps and good luck with picking the rig that is right for you.

Best aftermarket support (My opinion):
Jeep Wrangler
Toyota Tacoma
Toyota 4 Runner
Dodge Ram
