Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Thank you all for the welcomes very new to this. I have king suspension and Goodyear tires what other essentials do I need for my overland rig? Is there a tread on here that answers this?

There's no one setup that works for everyone. It depends on what you are wanting to do with the rig. There are folks in 100% stock vehicles pulling camper trailers staying in established camp grounds all the way to fully built rigs with RTTs and full sleeper platforms going up the hard trails into the back country and staying as far away from civilization as they can.
I say go camping! What ever you feel like your comfortable with and then see what you need or would like to have. We get by with a Coleman ground tent, sleeping pads, sleeping bags, an old $20 Craigslist Coleman 3 burner stove, and an Ozark Trail 73QT cooler pretty comfortably.
A good tow strap without hooks (loop ends), an axe and a hand saw of some form are never a bad idea either.
