Hello from the frozen North. Spring hasn't shown itself yet here. I'm new to the forum. I've been traveling Northern Canada by Adventure motorcycle for a while. On my trip to the Dempster, Top of the World and the Haul road last summer I encountered a lot of Overland rigs. I have spent a lot of time back country camping and hunting and thought these rigs were great. I was more interested in the larger Unimog, Mann and MD trucks. These truck Chassis's are hard to get here so I settled on a Ford 550. I was on the hunt from there on.Late in the fall I found a 2001 55o long wheel base crew cab 4X4. It also has a 14' aluminum Uhaul box on it. I've been gathering up windows, door, and appliances over the winter. Work will start as soon as this ice age is over.
