Hey Everyone,
Robert here from Centreville, VA. but I'm working in Afghanistan right now.
I have a 2016 Jeep Rubicon. New to Overlanding but not Off-roading. I'm looking to expand from Off Road Parks and maybe see a little more of the country.

Hello from Virginia Beach! We camp about an hour north of you in Churchville. Looks like you could show us some awesome trails in that area!

Hey Robert and welcome to OB! That's one nice looking rig you have! Thank you for your service man! Safe travels and enjoy those open roads!

And if you've not seen this, this list of trails is fantastic.

Closest to you looks like Potts Mountain Jeep Road.
Not to hijack the thread..

These are basic, but good to use. I will cross reference with google maps for a visual. also have DL'd them to my phone and tablet.

Thanks for the map Kevin, I've never actually been to Potts Mountain or Flagpole. If your just looking to off-road, Chaos (Capon Bridge, WV) or Big Dogs (Gore, VA) would be good options. They're both private parks though so you can only go when they are hosting an event. They both have various level of trails from basic to extreme. If you don't mind driving a little further, Rausch Creek (Pine Grove, PA) is open to the public on weekends (Friday - Sunday). They have a 2 vehicle minimum but they have a group sign up on their website that let's you pick a group trail difficulty.
