Hey all! Newbie here and just picked up the OP4! Quick intro, my name is Mike and I’m from North Carolina! Married with 3 kids!

Every year we do a massive road trip to get to all 50 states, just me and my kids! Our last road trip is coming this year (my oldest is going to college) and we are doing the north east (2.5 weeks)!

We are heading from Raleigh to the finger lakes to Niagara Falls to cape cod, Acadia, Boston, to home!

Looking for recos and just good discussion for camping and activities in the north east! My trip is super flexible!

When you do Acadia make sure you make reservations yearly. If you want to drive up Cadillac mountain sometimes there are set times you have to sign up for. Fort Lamoine is a State park with camping close by Acadia. Has a really nice bathhouse and a small beach. Had a playground when we were there a couple years ago. I have had better luck with Hipcamp then the "offical campgrounds" in the area.

Bar Harbor and Acadia get very very crowded during the summer. But you can have a blast. Best of luck.
