Hello you all,

Several of you all do know that I try to help people, OB or not with projects, repairs, upgrades and such.
Iam doing so in my old garage which is way to small for all of this.
So, last year we decided to go for a new workshop.
Since three weeks now we are busy with realising the new workshop.

When the shop is ready we will be able to do loads of stuff there. Welding, woodworking, mechanics and also 3d printing, engraving and cnc cutting.
So, as I have my stuff fairly in good order I had asked some OB members if they have some projects coming up.
And yes, there are some projects.

So, in may everything should be good and we can start working for OB members.

For those who dont know me well, I am not a professional. So, there are no fees or so. Just happy to help people.

This is at this moment the progress of the workshop.

it all starts with a foundation

Workshop will be 10x6 meters and the paved spot will be 12.5 to 7 meters plus the connection to the driveway.

And with this all the pavement will be done 110 m2.

We need to make the driveway a bit more wider so we can get out or through the gate

Driveway open enough to get the trailer and Jeep on it. Tomorrow we are heading out.
And when we get back, well those stones we hope are gone and the foundation is ready for step number 2.

And the workshop is build. Now comes the time to move all the tools, shelves, and more into it.
First I started with the floor. Has to be flat, and clean.
Will be painted in grey.

The girls did a great job with the first layer of paint yesterday. It starts to look as it should.

Wow, that one looks hughe! Is that the driveway gate on the front left? Looks a bit low, but that's probably because of the perspective of the photo?

No it is low, as it aint a garage. It is a workshop. So there will be no cars in it. Trailers will be parked next to it.
At this moment the back yard is a mess. But next week there will be more space and such.
At this moment I am filling up the grease pit with stones and sand. As the old garage will go.WhatsApp Image 2022-04-02 at 13.31.48.jpeg
This pile of sand is now transported into the grease pit. Together with a lot of broken stones.
The stones are in it to make drainage better.

And we are a bit further.
This weekend together with @Claus_za we gonna take down the roof of the old garage.
And the weekend after the whole garage will be demolished.
For now it is making things get in their new spots.

Power bank, so all the battery packs and some wired tools.
20220513_200151.jpg
Woodworking storage area with the power tools that are needed for that.
20220516_215259.jpg
Old cabinet, like one of the first things I ever build. New coat of paint and it looks like it belongs there.
20220516_215327.jpg20220517_144917.jpg
Wall between bicycle room and stained glass shop is coming up.

And now it is time to get things again more organised and clean up the mess I got from all the years. So I can start with clean stock. At least as clean as possible.

This weekend some OB members and also friends did help me really out with getting down the old garage.
And now it is time to get everything clean and organised.
Ready to make our Garden again the best meet up place we can think of except for being way out there.
The results of this weekend are huge. And the progress in the shop as well.
