Haven't done much modification to this other than have a custom rack built for my CVT tent. Not sure yet if I want to do some kind of enclosed bed cover or just use the trailer like a pickup bed. Would love to see other M1101 setups if you have one.
Also, if you're interested in buying a Humvee trailer from government auction then please see this guide which you might find helpful:

I've been wanting one for some time now, but I think the 1101/2 would be a little on the heavy side for my JKUR. I've seen a few ppl use them with JKs but after adding weight from gear it seems a bit much for towing around, especially on long trips. Luckily I'm right next the JBSA fort Sam Houston and they have auctions all the time on these. Just waiting for the right time. If I don't get a smaller trailer.

An M1101/2 is also probably wider than your JK. A trailer wider than the tow vehicle seems ... suboptimal. My DD and overland rig is a '96 Hummer. I chose this trailer because it's the exact same width as my truck and the tires/wheels are the same, so my 1 spare tire can fit either.
