My GX470 Newbie Build

Hey fellow GX owners and peasants,
This will be my build thread of my 2007 GX470.

I purchased this '07 GX a little over a year ago for $9600 with 170k miles on it. Pretty good maintenance records.
I've had the belt/waterpump changed
New radiator
Some new hoses since they were getting hard and cracked
New brake pads & rotors all around (will be doing the 460 upgrade soon)


Day 1


Time to get them running boards off :)



Decided to paint the wheels



This arrived the other day :)
I'm still undecided on tires, but hope to get that taken care of in a week or so.

Have to give a update on the ride quality after the spring install . The fiancé has a GX 470 and even after replacing the rear shocks with a oe set the suspension is bottoming out constantly so We’re just gonna ditch the air suspension and go coils just wanted to first-hand account if it’s better or worse.

I'm actually on springs now since my pump starting going bad a couple months ago. I'm hoping the combination new springs and matching shocks feel even better.
