Picked this up 2 weeks ago for $1500 (yes, $1500).  1991 FJ80 - Stock except for the rack, the wheels, and the stereo.  It now has 35's, a better roof rack, semi de-smogged, Waeco fridge/freezer and a 4 hour detail job to find the carpet.  My goal is a long term build to full overland glory.  Several trips already in planning including Baja this Christmas.

Sharp looking 80 - it looks awesome on those 35's! It's nice to see another 91 getting prepped for adventure.

And picking it up for 1500? Nice...

Here's my 80 - "Gojira", getting ready to rise from the deep.

She's back on jack stands...  In the process of investing a small fortune into my rig.  4" lift springs, winch, new power outlet in the rear for the fridge, some new lights, new shocks, new seals & bearings in the front axle and new brakes.  The fall wheeling/camping season is around the corner!!

@roamingtimber I, personally, love it.  It might be a close drag race against a horse drawn cart but it's consistent.  Loaded with gear and kids I can still cruise at highway speeds.  It does struggle on hill climbs but I'm typically not in a hurried frame of mind when I'm in my 80...
