Purchased a little over a year ago. I love the truck and I'm surprised how comfortable it is on long drives. I was always interested in camping. Although, I don't do it enough as much as I would like. I already have most of the gear for it, so I want to make an effort to do more of it in the coming years. I guess it will be one of my new years resolutions for 2017. Purchased the truck on the internet from a dealer in Texas sight unseen, which kind of worried me. But the truck has not disappointed me at all. Runs like a top with no problems. The only mod on the truck when purchased was that it had a 6 inch lift from Rough Country and the wheels (20x9) and tires (35 x 12.50}.

Over the last year I have installed the following (See Pics):

Bilstein 5165 Rear Offroad Shocks
Cat back Flowmaster Force II exhaust
Raptor style running boards by Rhino
Power folding tow mirrors
HD Edition headlight and tailights
Flush mounted back up lights in rear bumper
K&N CAI
Mag-Hytec rear diff cover
Rough Country winch plate kit
A.R.E. Overland Topper
Custom fuse block/relay panel
Custom engine tune from 3 Stage Motorsports
Line-X bed liner

My immediate plans:
BDS Suspension Front Coilovers to get rid of the Rough Country lift spacer
Front upper control arms
Bedslide
Winch
Thule track and support bars on the top of Cap for either a Roof Top Tent or a roof rack or both
Heavy duty bumpers, front and rear

Distant plans:
Front long travel suspension
Re-gear axles with electric or air lockers front and rear
Go to 18 inch wheels/tires
Rock sliders

Obviously the list of mods will change based on budget and need. But I'm the kind of person that keeps a vehicle until the wheels fall off. So hopefully I will have many more trouble free years with my truck. Don't be shy, and give me your suggestions.

I have also been kicking around with the idea of building my own Adventure Trailer. So there might be a build thread on that soon.

Take care and be safe out there!

That is nice looking truck, I almost sold my Excursion and bought one a year ago. Those are nice looking rims that probably could sell for decent money, I would suggest you sell them now before you go off road and scratch them up and ruin the resale value, buy stock diameter rims with larger tires it will improve your ride quality on and off road in addition to improvimg your off road traction. Large diameter rims and short side walls are not a great combinaion for off road use, but everyone wants them so they sell for too much.

I totally agree. I want to put 18 inch wheels on it, but keep the 35's. It rides a little stiffer than it should with my setup now. That is a good idea on selling them now while they are still brand new looking. I will keep that in mind. Thanks for your help.

Yes I run stock 16's with my 35 inch tires, you probably need the 18's to clear your brakes. As popular as the larger rims are now, if you sold what you have you might be able to get new tires and rims without spending much more than you could sell them for for.
