Got out to do some relaxing driving in the forest.

My son got a new trick bike and wanted to try it out. So we took the scenic route to the skate park.

If you get to the area....this is worth checking out.

You could take other roads or do some of the out and backs and enjoy days here.

Peale RD was alot of fun. Tram rd was very remote feeling.

I have a track. I tried making it a GPX

I can send it in email. Only thing is I am not sure if it only opens with US topo map app or if it can be opened with any GPX set up.

This is most likely my next step in PA! I’ll send you my email, thank you!
I was looking at the elevation changes, looks like a great 3 hour drive! Is it a good route to do in winter?

In the winter...it would be quite interesting. The snow and ice would require tire chains for sure.

This past winter...if you go back through my posts on the members thread....they had people stuck all over.

I would suspect with the amount of water...parts of peale rd may be impassable.

The rest...well...would depend on how big a chance you want to take.

But it sure would be fun and very picturesque

It was a great 3 hour drive. And then a short trip on pavement to the next section and you can start all over.

There are lots of miles of dirt here. Trying to cover all of them would take awhile. Lots of cool natural things to see.

Testing a link.

@Dusther210

Not sure if this will work. But, I loaded this into a GPS app I have and it worked. Hoping it will work for you.

Anyone else that wants to try, please let me know the results.

Just not sure if it links to the track or my email...hoping the track lol
It leads to neither a gpx file or email

My son and I got out to the forest for a bit between obligations.

It was a nice peaceful drive hitting some of the roads we had not been on yet.

Snow was laying on dead trees above 1900 ft and above 2100 feet was laying on the roads.

This is what you can barely see in the 2nd to last pic. I took it because that was what we were looking for when we went out that road. We almost missed it because of the snow.

Got out to Moshannon State Forest and the neighboring game lands for some dirt road therapy and deer scouting.

Got to get some more mud on the new tires and man, I just needed the time in the forest.

Tried out a new app for hunters/outdoorsman and compared it to my other map app.

We did get to see a big ole buck just down the road from the game lands.

And, I got to open up a Purple Lizard map and enjoy looking at the flat world of the map and see it come alive 3D.

We also got a chance to eat at a friend's new restaurant and had a great family afternoon. The daughter even came along. Blessed day for sure.
