Hello everyone! We're new to Overland Bound and wanted to introduce ourselves by sharing some pictures of a recent trail we did.

Mogollon Rim Road (FR 300) is one of the best easy drives with camping in Arizona. And the payoff is HUGE with fantastic views!

We headed along Rim Rd West. It's 43 miles of wide, graded road, making it an ideal route if you’re looking for something mellow without sacrificing the experience.

And the views are some of the best we’ve ever seen in the 9 winters we've spent in AZ. Mile after mile of forest suddenly opens up to massive overlooks that stretch forever. Camping out here is about as good as it gets. There are endless spots tucked all along the rim, from wide open clearings to more secluded sites back in the trees.

If you’re chasing more technical terrain, there are plenty of offshoot roads that branch off and get a bit more interesting. But if you’re after an easy, scenic drive with unbeatable camping and views, this stretch of Rim Road 300 is hard to beat. If you've never been, this is your sign to visit the Mogollon Rim!

Thanks for adding us to Overland Bound! We're excited to be a part of this community.

Welcome to OB! Great pics, thank you. North rim of the GC and Fr300 are my favorites in AZ.

IT is a beautiful area and a great way to get out of the lower AZ heat in the summer.
