Unfortunately, the popular and especially among our members in BeNeLux and Germany known Offroad Budel event will not take place this year and is completely discontinued. For those who don't know the event, Offroad Budel has been held annually with extreme dedication and has had around 1,000 visitors each first weekend in October. So already quite a large event.
The reason for the cancellation is that new environmental regulations can no longer be met by reasonable means. More information on the website of the event.
Always new regulations is certainly a trend that we as off-road vehicle enthusiasts and overlanders can not stop and there will certainly be changes, cancellations of events and much more in the future.
But it is all the more important that we respect nature and stick to the rules so that we can continue to pursue our passion for a long time. Each of us can do a little bit better. There are plenty of examples here on Overland Bound. Be it a clean up event, leaving a place better than you found it or just picking up some trash along the way.
