Hello, from deep Southeast Texas, I'm brand new here and to overland camping in general. Me and the wife have been talking about getting a camper so we can get out more often and the more I started thinking about it, the more I like the idea of converting my Suburban. Anyway, glad to be here and going to start looking around, big question for me right now is how do go about finding where to park and camp?

Hi Bobby,
Welcome to the OB community from us all here in France.

Hopefully someone in the US will be able to point you in the right direction for camping etc.

Cheers Paul and Nicky

Hi Bobby,

Welcome to Overland Bound!

That´s a great rig. Enjoy.

Greetings from Europe,

Good afternoon all!. New here from my summer home in Gettysburg PA.
Purchased a new '23 TRD Pro Tacoma almost 3 years ago and been playing with getting it built ever since. I have temporarily slowed that build to work on restoring my 89 4runner.
I'm still looking to have some off road fun here and there as a break from all my other hobbies.
If you are wondering about my username, I am Santa Claus! I live at the North Pole during the winter season.
Greetings Russell, welcome to Overland Bound!

Good evening everyone!

My name is Marius, I’m 33 years old and from northern Germany.
Over the past two years, I’ve already been able to join a few trips and meet-ups — and I’m really looking forward to many more adventures. This time even as an official member

Excited to be here!
Greetings Marius, welcome to Overland Bound!

Hello everyone, Bob here from New Zealand. My rig is a Jeep JK with a 3in lift.
Arriving in the US next week for a 5 week overland expedition of Utah and Arizona. We have rented a Toyota 4Runner with a rooftop tent for the trip.
Maybe catch up with some of you along the way.
Greetings Bob, welcome to Overland Bound!

Hi! How you all doing?
I've been an observer of the forums for a couple of years now, and I guess now its time to formally introduce myself.
My name is Tracy, and currently residing in SoCal, exploring this amazing region in a '23 Tacoma. I consider myself a newb, for sure, but do have a few-thousand miles under my belt, mostly consisting of off-season exploration of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Nevada, finding trails between here and there. Nothing too gnarly. My wife and amazing co-pilot are in it for camping, hiking, and the love nature and wildlife. Always trying to leave it better than how we found it.
Attached is a pic of our recent trip exploring the Gila National Forest in New Mexico this past December.

Hello everyone, I recently learned about this group.
02 landcruiser. I'm north of New orleans. It's a pretty stock vehicle, but that doesn't do me from getting out and using it for camping.
Hello and welcome to the OB family.

Kia ora Bob, where are you from in NZ originally? I'm from Taranaki but worked all over, was based at Ohakea, Blenheim, Christchurh and Whenuapai. If you ever come to Canada, let me know, would love to meet up. I was in NZ in 2025 and will be heading back there this year to visit family.

Hi KiwiAs
I’m from Ashburton over here for the next 3 weeks, been travelling through Utah in a rented 4Runner with roof top tent. Currently in Moab heading south. Love to catch up however we have no plans to visit Canada in the near future. If you make it to the South Island on your next trip we could catch up then.Cheers Bob

Welcome Noah From Reno!

You are 100% correct, stock is fine, no need for anything else unless you ponder and decide to do more......
