Hello, I'm Ginger from Seattle.
I have an 06 4runner with a spacer lift, a budget and comfy offroader.
Done Tahuya, Washington BDR, and other trails in WA.
I'm a beginner, I haven't done crazy recoveries or anything like that.

I plan on doing the pan-american highway from Argentina to USA early next year, but I'm having a hard time understanding the legalities of buying a motorcycle as a non-resident in Argentina.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be grateful :)

HI Ginger,

Welcome to Overland Bound!

That sounds like a great trip you ae planning. Regarding your question you could check the OB Map for members in that area, message them and see if they can help you. Maybe @Alanymarce (based in Colombia) or @Gustavo Amaral (based in Brazil) can help?

A good resource for information like that is also the Horizons Unlimited HUBB.

Greetings from Europe,
Bjoern

Hello and welcome to the OB family.

Hi all. New member “worlwind” here.

We have spent the last 5 years, off and on, in our Ford E350, 7.3L diesel conversion van (“Indie) with 30 gallon water tank, UJoint conversion, sleeper pop top, party lights… it’s been a blast. We have now purchased a 2022 Earth Roamer LTi (“Herbie”) and are looking forward to more learning about trips, maintenance, recovery tips, etc. We’ll be selling our Ford E350 and will list it here. We look forward to meeting many of you. We live in Park City, Utah.

Nice to meet you :)

Hi Alfred & Sylvie,

Welcome to Overland Bound!

If you like, take a look at the Rally Points for planned events in Europe. There you can filter by region. Italy, for example, belongs to the region Mediterranean, Switzerland, France to MidEurope. There are plenty of meetups planned for this year and 2024 for Europe already. We also do a virtual campfire once a month, there are always members from many regions of Europe. We usually do this in the winter months and then pause it in the summer when many are on the road. Just join us next time if you like.

As I've already written on your status comments, I'll have a look at my recorded tracks later on, which might help you on your current trip. I'll let you know if I find anything helpful.

If you have any other questions just ask, please, always happy to help.

Safe travels,
Bjoern

Hello and welcome to the OB family.

Hello all, been on the site for a few days just now posting here, I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn (2wd), and I have a 2008 Chevy Suburban LTZ 4x4. We are located in Delaware but Travel up and down the coast. My wife and I have been camping for last 6 years. A bunch of trips to the beach areas with the suburban for fishing. I'll take the Ram out to local State Parks and what not for some easier trails. I think this next season we want to focus more on the mountain trials with the Suburban and maybe even the Ram once I upgrade some things.
