Welcome to OB. My son in law and daughter basically got me started in the off-road community, they had a Rubicon and a FJ-CRUISER back then, both great vehicles. They ended up trading in both of them for a Ford Excursion due to their growing family. I now have 6 grand children by them! I really liked their Cruiser, very unique vehicle that they should have made more of. Hope we can either go on a trip or just bump into you out and about.Hey everyone,
New to to the crew here. My name is Eric and I'm up in Northern Colorado (Fort Collins). Mildly experienced in overland travel by 4x4 and motorcycle. Recently picked up a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Edition that will become our primary family over-landing vehicle. Also have a 2000 100 Series Land Cruiser that is soon to be relegated to popup camper pulling and 16-yr old daughter tank.
Looking forward to contributing to the community and see you on the trails!!
Eric

Hello Jason and welcome to Overland bound!Brand new to the 4x4 Lifestyle. Looking to network with my local Overland community, in the middle of FlatLand Indiana.(20 minutes north of Indianapolis) Cutting fields and running fence lines is about the only overlanding I've seen. I want to cut my teeth on some of the easier things the Midwest has to offer. Then pilgrimage to Mojave desert for some bucket list type stuff. My adventurous spirit is big as the day is long, mostly two lane highway & two wheels. My name is Jason, my friends call me J. Always looking for the next adventure. From humble beginnings to the ends of the Earth, Have rig will travel.

Hello Josh, welcome to Overland Bound.Howdy everyone! Josh here.
Location: Northeast Texas
Vehicle: 2019 Ram Power Wagon
Overland Experience: Experienced
Why Overlanding: from a young age I’ve adventured the Southern forests and once I got my license I explored our wonderful public lands throughout the west. I’m a career wildland firefighter who spends tons of time in the wildlands with fire engines, ORUVs, and helicopters. My wife grew up in the city and has adopted the outdoor lifestyle with me with multiple trips in North America experiencing the great outdoors.
Glad to be here and looking forward to meeting likeminded folks.

Little bit about me. I'm 38 years old and as a child, I grew up camping a LOT with my family but as I moved into adulthood, my career really took priority and has for the past 10+years. With the state of the world in the past year or two, I've had more time to think about what really matters to me and my family and decided it was time for change. I thought back to countless fond memories of my childhood when times were simpler and all we did was go off the grid to hang with family and camp in the woods. So I've been spending an ample amount of time exploring how I could get back into this outdoor lifestyle and separate myself from the matrix known as life lol. In December 2019 I purchased my first ever truck! for the soul purpose of hauling things so that I would no longer have to ask my father in law to borrow his truck when needed lol. Shortly after purchasing the truck, I stumbled across this thing called overlanding and immediately fell in love. I've stalked this community online from a far for a while now and love how everyone that I've come across are simply decent human beings that care for not just themselves but those around them and the environment.
With that said, next week I have an appointment booked to have a full Suspension upgrade installed including shocks, springs, leafs, UCA, CMC, etc... and am planning on my wife and I taking next Friday off for our first scouting trip to find some potential trails and camping areas that we could go to (Advice would be much appreciated here).
I would really be interested in getting to know our local community in the greater Nashville area as well for potential future trips
I have much more modding to do and a even more learning but am very excited to start this new adventure.

Hello and Welcome to the OB family!!Hi All,
New to the forum here, and looking fwd be part of it all.
Originally had a Jeep TJ, so much fun, but after 10yrs upgrade to a 2017 Jeep Wrangler, 2dr.
I do like my offroadong trips, but looking to get more into the Overland side of things.. realise the 2dr is not ideal, but the size of my garage had the final say

Hello and Welcome to the OB family!!Hi-my name is Robert and from the Bay Area. We used to camp up past Pinecrest about 25 years ago-I remember the sign always said Trail of the Ancient Drawfs-was a lot of fun and have continued to camp since then-but last few years ago started getting into it more. We use a Ram1500 4 wheel drive. Roof top tent and recently added a second battery via Red Arc controller. My family and I try to camp as much as we can-especially now with Covid-we try to avoid crowds since our little one is too young for a vaccination. Hoping to find others to chat with, find new sites and learn more about getting on the trails. I also do photography as a hobby and another topic would be nice to find others to talk with. Thanks
