Hey Gang,
Just getting started here. I've been camping, hiking, and fishing all my life and got the overlanding bug about 2 yrs ago before I knew it had a name. Anyhow, glad to be a part of the community and look forward to learning and sharing with you all. I drive a 97 Tacoma SR5 with a high top camper shell that is an ongoing project. I call her Goldie and have outfitted the bed with drawers and a sleeper system.
I am in Central Texas and love trips to the coast, hill country, or Big Bend. Feel free to ask anything.

Hello from the PNW! Somewhat new to overlanding, but an avid hiker, backpack and outdoor adventurer.
Recently bought a 2021 Tacoma and the first week of ownership went on a 7,000 mile adventure from Seattle to San Antonio camping and exploring 7 national parks along the way. Met a few local overland folks this weekend that pointed me here!

To help navigate through the forums, here are some links that can be filtered by “Region” prefix. We are in the Overland Bound North America US Northwest Region (US Northwest for short).
Overland Bound Meetups- is where all member generated rally points are posted in forum format for discussion of Rally Point and other types of Meetups. A meetup can be as simple as a group getting together for coffee, a trail ride, or a full in expedition with other Overland Bound Members.
Overland Bound Trip Planning- is a great place to talk about planning a trip wether by your self or as a group.
Overland Bound Routs: Downloadable- is exactly what it sounds like. Search, or share your GPX files here with a description of the route and POIs.
Share your Overland Routes- is similar time the downloadable posted above, but doesn’t require you to share the actual GPX file.
Overland Bound By Region < North America < US Northwest- is where you can find regional members discussing local events, Overland News, and general topics. It’s a great recourse to mete others in the regions.
Member Maps- a great trip planning tool. It can also be used to send out messages to members near your location, or a location you plan to visit.
Rally Point- a tool used to creat Meetups or send out an SOS.

Nice rig with the Volvo, very cool! Glad you said hello and welcome. I am the Bay Area member rep and I can help connect you to meet ups that are happening near you. In Ripon CA there is a meet up on the third Sunday’s of the month and it has a great regular turn out and active. The Central California group has number of plans they are laying out so head over to the next meet up if you can! Jason @Bucket_Head_57 and Brian @beck4u lead the meet up and can answer any questions you might have.
