Hello Everyone! I reside in SoCal and just bought a 2020 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Off Road Edition last week! My dream truck! I have limited off road / over landing experience. I‘ve traversed the Mojave Trail a couple of times with a large group of guys and have done some exploring in the Eastern Sierras. My boys are 9 and 13, the perfect age to get out, explore, and make memories. I’m looking forward to meeting other off road enthusiast!

Hello Sam, welcome to the OB community. Grew up in South Gate, and lived in La Palma before moving to Michigan in 1981. It was a great area to live in, hope it still is.

Hi, all! I'm Betsy. I'm from central-ish Oklahoma. I'm kinda new to overlanding so I'm still learning. I have a 2014 4Runner trail which is both my daily driver and our overland vehicle which makes some of our trips a little more docile than others but we still have fun. My commute is a lot of dirt road with a little bit of highway and I always end up putting a lot of miles on my rig each year. I really want to branch out and be able to take more trips and meet people in our area so we can join up at rallies or any kind of meet-ups, really. The most recent picture I have isn't the best, but we were able to visit Lake Texoma State Parkthis last weekend and get out of the house. View attachment 147928

Hello All,
I'm JD... Live in Orange County, CA
Have owned mostly Subaru or Land Rovers, but now have a 2000 LX470.
I've camped a lot and Overlanding just seemed like the natural progression. So I'm a full time novice but excited to hear and learn from you all.

Rig is bone stock now... but that will be changing quickly and a research and find the right parts.

Thanks again.

Good to be here!

I am Mark. Living in Bend Oregon.

My Covid-project has been bring my 1988 Toyota 4Runner back to life. I just finished a new paint job and am focusing on reliability-oriented overland build-out. It’s good to be here and I’m just starting to dig in to OB.
Hi Mark, welcome to the OB community. As Mike Rose mentioned I am the Southern Oregon Regional Members Representative and want you to know I am available to answer questions you might have, or, just to discuss overlanding things you might want to discuss. I know Mike also mentioned the Sunday night conference call and would love to have you join us if you can. Look forward to meeting you some time in the future.

Greetings all.

My wife and I are near-full-time travelers, stopping occasionally for children, grandchildren and all the associated holidays and celebrations. Our base camp is in Southern California and we spend most of the time in our 2018 Punk’n Metallic Jeep Wrangler JLUR when not flying elsewhere. I’ve been traveling my entire life and have 30 something years in the off-road space. This is our second year of traveling mostly from the Jeep (Natasha) with prior years hauling one behind our RV. I look forward to connecting with others.

Warmest regards and stay safe all!

Hi All,

Eric from Boston, and my wife Beth.

after 20 years flinging race cars around the track all over the country the slower pace (and dollar burn) of overlanding is our new interest.
We are Noobs. Our plan is to learn some skills and take some sort trips with our '10 Tundra CrewMax, and if we really get into this, we'll more than likely buy someone else's built rig instead of developing this one. BTDT with race cars.

Mostly here to research and learn right now.

BTW, the Tundra has served phenomenally well towing heavy loads all over the eastern part of the country. Great truck!

Hello from Alberta, Canada, new to overlanding so I am a novice always wanted to do it but have lots of experience in camping, and outdoors stuff.
Current vehicle is a 2019 Chevy Colorado crew cab 2.8 L diesel as for mods the only thing it has is a 2 inch front levelling kit with more to come, Future mods are better tires, storage in the box, a canopy and a rooftop tent and then we’ll see how it goes from there.255F321B-9C01-45BF-812E-1B5B579C6407.jpeg

Trevor here, LVRider, started out with a rzr and a 18 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Loved getting on the trails but found myself wanting to get more out of the experience. Went and bought a 2020 Rubicon. Love the trails now. They are so capable. Was out on the trail the second day. Have about a third of my breakin miles off-road. my GSP loves the fact that we go out all the time. I look forward to meeting new people and sharing info related to Overlanding.
Welcome. If you have any questions please reach out.

My name is Adam

I have been camping, hiking and actively practicing wilderness skills for many years. Originally from northern California, Anderson Valley area, now firmly ensconced in the midwest.

Happily married, 2 kids, 13 year old english bulldog.

Our rig is a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

I do all my own stunts as far as mechanical repairs and upgrades are concerned, and enjoy fabricating and making my own gear, it's not always pretty...

At any rate, glad to be here and look forward to becoming an active member of this community.
Welcome from NE Oklahoma

Hello, my name is gypsy, I am from the Ozarks, in an effort to appease my wife I just sold my former overlanding rig a 1987 Jeep YJ on 37's that I built and pretty much loved for the last decade, my brother bought it so I can still play with it from time to time but a Subaru Forester right before this all started haven't had a chance to take it off road and figure out what mods I want to do to begin with. Former wildland firefighter which is how I got into overlanding

Hiya! We are Mark and Kristen from Orange County California. IMG_4837.jpg We are looking for a camping group to explore weekends in baja or camping about So Cal. We're happy to help out however. Willing lead, after we've had a chance to follow a few times. We tend to tow a teardrop trailer when we camp. Thanks
