Hello, my wife (Adrianna) and I (Mike) are both veterans. We are new to overlanding. We currently have a 2016 Dodge Durango that I either want to improve for better overlanding or search for a more capable vehicle. We live in Minnesota and are thawing out this week. I am hopeful there are other overlanders here in Minnesota who are willing to help us get started by showing us some of the ropes. We live in Kanabec County. Our future thoughts are to eventually build an overlander ambulance conversion.
Hello Mike and Adrianna, welcome to Overland Bound.
Thank you both for your service, blessings.

I joined because I honestly want to spend time with my best friend. And of course, take my Crosstrek out on some trails and enjoy the outdoors. I need to get out more.

Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Rig: 2008 GMC Yukon
Experience: Driven PA roads. Dodged some nasty potholes. Joking aside I drive through some mud puddles near my house when I can. I'm trying to figure out what gear to invest in before I venture off to any trails. I am completely new to this and ready to learn and hopefully have some wonderful experiences.

Welcome nicca923. The Yukon is a great starting vehicle for getting into this. I'm sure there is a wealth of experience here to help as you need.

Hi Nicca,
From my experience I suggest, if you don’t already have, skid plates for protection.
