Hey all - Doug from SW Florida here. :) We have a 2022 F150 we are slowly building out to be our mobile base station as we start to explore the Midwest and Southwest of this awesome country. We are sporting an RTT and a few other upgrades - more on that later. For now, here’s a recent pic of what we affectionately call “The Black Mamba”!

Hello Doug, welcome to Overland Bound.

MesaJohn from Western Colorado. Only lived out here for the past 3 years and about to do some "sporin".

Old to exploring but new to doing it in a cage.

Love our newly found FJ, super low miles for an '07 and getting it outfitted.

Hello from a bit north east of you. My parents are in Yukon so I am that way on occasion. My truck is currently down there getting an engine put in.
If I can be of any assistance let me know. Also, If you might have any interest in ham radio I would be happy to get you pointed in the right direction.

Hi,

I’ve been participating in vehicle assisted off road travel since 2006. I started out with a Pinzgauer 710M as my first 4x4 vehicle which I still have and enjoy.

My second rig which I got in 2009 is a 2004 Toyota Tacoma standard cab 4x4 with a Flip PAC camper. I sold the camper but I still have the truck. I’m waiting for a Dirtbox camper to build it back out and possibly sell.

My most recent rig is a ‘23 Jeep Gladiator with a Skinny Guy camper. I wanted something already built out but still garageable.

I’ve been all over Southern California, Nevada, and Utah between these rigs and a little bit into Arizona and Colorado.

I’m located in Tehachapi, CA and my interest in this group is to make connections to get out more often and explore new areas.

Thank you! I always appreciate a lending hand and pointing in a right direction.

While I’m experienced traveler in different areas, this next chapter excites me, and would love to meet with others of similar passions.

Is there a monthly meetup of sorts for the OKC metro area? If not, maybe we could fire one up and see what shows up.

Reach out if that sounds a plan.

Thanks again..
