Just joined site. Looks like an interesting place.

Primary overland vehicle - 1990 Land Rover Defender 110, 200tdi, RHD. (Victoria)

Lunch at the Yukon River, Alaska. Filled up on oil while there, too...lol.

Just returned from a 10,000 mile trip from Michigan to Alaska. Here, Victoria, is checking out the view along the Dalton (above picture). She's nothing fancy and you won't see her in any glamor magazines, but she's pretty trustworthy...and pretty rough and tumble.

I'm a minimalist, when it comes to overlanding, less is better and less than that...is better yet...and less than that...well, you could parish...so, there is a fine line you don't want to cross.

Looking forward to hanging out here and gathering knowledge.

Just wondering what the level of support will be and how relevant this site is to someone that is going to be the trail blazer. Any members been here and posted on the continent before? I search South America and nothing came up. Arrived in Santiago from New Zealand two weeks ago and going through learning Spanish, buy my Prado, negotiating the paperwork for ownership and border crossings and getting kitted out. Bit like the guy falling out of the high rise saying half way down” so far so good”
