West Virginia has been my favorite, hoping to make it back during peak fall foliage!

I have vid's coming up for a few more weeks from this run. As we worked north again I used the MABDR as the guide and ran a good portion there of. This is the Great Smokies as we turned the corner and started back north

Rafted down the Delaware River, camped out overlooking the valley in central PA which led to waking up above the clouds and had a relaxing dinner with the wife around White’s Bog in NJ.

My wife, I, and our two dogs took an EPIC trip from VA to Liberty, ME in early September. I overlaid the NEBDR and Appalachian Byway; tracing the more direct...ish combined route. Packed up our Sequoia, and drove for five days, camping on the roof at a state park, a hipcamp site, and two boondock sites on the way. Stayed at an AirBnB lake house on Lake St. George for five nights, hiking at Camden Hills SP and Acadia NP. Then one night at a hipcamp site on our two-day drive home. The truck performed flawlessly, despite some of the NEBDR stuff being...tight :grimacing: Had to reroute due to logging activity three times, and once due to a bridge being out in Green Mountain NF. But that's part of the fun. Ended up at an unscheduled site with the bridge being out that was our favorite spot of the trip. And the detour to get back on track the next day took us through Springfield, VT where we found a fantastic coffee shop with a park and Black River Falls right behind it. Never would've come across that gem had we not gone out of the way. First trip I've ever gone on where I, literally, stood in my driveway with tears in my eyes after getting back. I. Hate. Northern. Virginia. And I REALLY need a new job that doesn't require going to the office

A really random and REALLY cool Revolutionary War-era burial plot found while driving through High Knob State Forest in NY.

Our second site was a Hipcamp site just a 1/4-mile into VT at the VT/MA border. Mt Greylock is socked in to the left.

Best spot of the trip! Green Mountain NF in VT. The skies that night were ink back and totally clear. We could watch satellites streak by with the naked eye.

Epic sunset at the end of Wonderland Trail in Acadia. Just us and a film crew with some surfers at that point. We just sat for nearly two hours soaking it in.

Mt. Washington...100 feet visibility, 48+ mph sustained winds, and a windchill of 27 degrees. Fortunately we dropped out of the clouds in short order to enjoy the breathtaking views!
