Good idea, I guess. Thanks for sharing. The one made out of the PET bottle might be a bit sharp at the edges and might cause oher insuries.
The one made out of a creditcard looks like the tick removal cards you can buy.
I always cary one of these tick removers in my first aid kit: Care Plus Zeckenzange - Tick Remover
Did I say already, that I hate ticks, these little bastards are so useless! I am vaccinated against this tick-borne encephalitis, TBE, as I like to go out in the outdoors and we are located in a risk region re ticks.

good post. we dont have ticks in south louisiana because the mosquitoes killed them for trying to compete...but, we do go to arkansas and there are plenty of ticks there. we went last year for the first time and had them all over and even ended up bringing some home. had no idea what to do, but this post certainly helps now for next time we go
