Hey all!

Just wanted to share what my winter project will be! I somehow managed to get my hands on a 1966 M416 army ammo trailer. I will be working on it all winter in order to make it into my expedition trailer! I am very excited to start seeing it come together. All I've done so far is cut the back wall and weld in a folding tailgate. This will eventually play a big role once I build the drawers for it. If anyone has any tips or ideas, all are welcomed. I have never built a trailer before, or modified one in this case, so I can use all the help I can get! Ha. Next stop is sand blasting then some more welds for the lid.

Congrats on the M416!! I have owned one for a few years and in its current state, it’s perfect for me but still a build in progress. Mine looked identical to yours except mine was a 67’. If you have any questions or need any ideas let me know. A few pics attached as a reference.

What did you have to do to accommodate the Toyota lug pattern on the M416?
