I have been working on my 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara (TJ) for a while. I just got finished with replacing all the steering components and fuel injectors. This has been a work in progress for some time.

Holy cow! I think my 98 TJ has the original starter and it is still going strong!!!

Had to Laugh, My 99 Explorer has the original starter as well, bought it new in 99 and after all the engine, trans and suspension mods I started thinking I should replace it even though it works fine. However not wanting to Jinx myself and after knocking on wood…….I now carry a new spare starter……because….well…You know……call it superstition!

So when replacing the oil pan I have learned a few things. One, Craftsman torque wrenches are supposed to be zero between uses. Two, maybe 25 year old bolts should be replaced I broke two in the block before I stopped and got help. Getting them out has been challenging.
