So I have a trip lined up in about a month. My father and I are going to take about a 10 day trip from SE Texas through NM, CO, and WY. We will be pulling a travel trailer (I know but my father really can't do much more primitive given his health issues) and will be staying at my farm in Wyoming for a few days when we get there. My route will take me through Fredricksburg TX (Hill Country of central TX), to Roswell NM, to Trinidad CO, to Kremlin CO, and finally to the Laramie WY area before heading back south. My question is what might be some good detours along the way? I am already planning to stop at Bishops Castle in CO, get a photo OP in Roswell, and Wyoming is going to fishing and rodeo time.

This goes from
Fredricksburg TX
Roswell NM
+ Nageezi, New Mexico Entry way to Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness. Dirt roads, Vistas, and short hikes to hoodoo formations
+ the Bisti / De-Na-Zin Wilderness (Pin is parking lot) Lots of desert hiking, Unique formations, fossils and hoodoos.
+ Durango and Silverton Colorado. Historic Mining towns lots of trails in this area pick any that fit your time and preparation level. Or spend the day and take the train between the 2 towns.
>> If your are equipped for it Take Engineer Pass over to Lake City Co. ( https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/engineer-pass-road )
>> Curecanti Ntl Rec Area Good fishing depending on the time of year. Though I've had no luck in recent years during the summer.
+ Leadville Co. Good Fishing at both Twin Lakes and Turquoise Res.
>> Take Haggermans Pass on the SW end of Turquoise Res. over to Eagle Colorado for a nice afternoon of exploring many layers of Colorado
( http://4x4explore.com/rds/h_rds/hagerman_ps.html )
Kremlin CO
+ Big Creek Lake Campground 2 camp sites, hiking and fishing at a couple of lakes. Should be either Bald Eagles or Ospreys nesting between the lakes depending on the time of year
>> Rob Roy Res. Never fished it but passed by a time or 2.
Laramie WY
>> Add RMNP
>> Add Fishing in Grand Lake Co / Shadow Mtn Res. / Gramby Res. (More Bald Eagles and Ospreys around these lakes as well I've seen an osprey steal dinner from an angler!)
>> Add Great Sand Dunes NP
Bishops Castle CO
Trinidad CO

I tried to add the ">>" stops but Google said I'd hit the Max :(
