Looking for destinations

Hey guys, I want to plan an overlanding trip for this summer. I live in New Jersey and do not care about how far I have to drive if the destination is worth it. Let me know your best and must see locations. Thanks

Nothing too crazy. I drive a 2023 Jeep 4xE so it does really well off road but it’s heavy car.

Those are good months for the Colorado Rockies. The famous trails around the San Juan mountains would be near the top of my list.

The Canyonlands of Utah would also be near the top, but just be mindful those will be the hot months.

You can also stay on the dirt between those areas on trails like the Rimrocker if you have plenty of time.

So, in 7 weeks you could head to Labrador and Newfoundland. Alaska or NWT are a bit too far, as would be Central America or further south.

Moab, UT (iconic red rocks, hikes, mountain biking) or Colorado Rocky Mountains (Pikes Peak, Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park) Long drives but iconic landscapes. Give yourself 2+ weeks.

If you can't get out west. Maybe North? North Maine Woods, Canada and their Maritime Provinces
