Hello, I'm looking for an elastic strap for my ham radio's mic. I want to install mic on top of the cab and just pull it down when I need it.
I cannot find anything online (amazin, gigapart), could you recommend a product?

Here an example :

Stop by the local truck fuel station. Look in the CB area for retractable mic holders.

I second the magnet method, easy to put back in place without taking eyes off the road, and unlike with the retractable leash, the mike does not swing around when off road and drive me nuts.
Same here. But in Germany I have found nothing proper ready to use while in Australia or North America something like these magnetic mic holders seems to be almost standard, right? So I did a little DIY:

If you’re dead set on a retractable mic then a truck stop is the way to go. This big name ones like Loves and Flying J always have them. I use the magnet method though and am quite happy with it. I use the Nite Ize (sp?) brand ones made for cell phones and they work well.
