Looking for a couple killer camp spots in Oregon

Hey Guys,

I am doing a trip from SoCal to Bend. I am looking for advice on a killer spot for an overnight near the CA/OR border. I will cross on either 97 or 39. Ideally on a lake or river...open camping. Also looking for same within a couple hours of Bend. 0 to few people around at both spots preferred. Any help will be much appreciated!
