Built this truck back in 2020 since all of our plans were canceled we decide to make a vehicle we have have been planning for a while. Last year we got to use it a bunch and logged an easy month plus of use out of it.

2015 F250, got it used with the bumper and flatbed. We spent about 6 months building the pop up hard shell camper out of our 2 car garage. Turned out well since we somehow managed to buy most of the parts and gear before any price increases and scarcity hit. To top it off the IRS 'stimulus' checks helped fund a decent chunk of hte build.

I know the photos are all of flat ground, we tend to take photos when we get to campsites but been pleasantly surprised with the truck. If it fits it can make it, before I put the camper on we had a RTT on the back and took it to an off-road park to see how it does.

A suprise addition here 2006 tahoe, it has 4.10 gearing, and the limited slip rear end. All from the factory no less. Right now it has a 3” leveling kit and 33” Toyo MT’s . The future holds a 6” BDS lift, and the coil over replacements for the torsion bars. Full Kryptonite steering, cold air intake, and cat back exhaust. It will get us where we need or want to go until the 79 bronco gets Done.

Just a few pics from the cab of my ‘05 Silverado.

Navigation is via iPad and inReach. I’ll be adding an ATT OBD hot spot soon for WiFi and monitoring vehicle codes.

Comms are cellphone, FRS, and CB. May add HAM if I can find the time to get licensed.

Medical is the FieldCraft Survival med pouch up on the visor. More TQs in the door pockets as well.

Second battery system is being installed with a Biue Sea Systems ACR isolator.

Rear view mirror has a backup camera that I’ll be installing shortly.

Ammo can lid will be getting magnets for the FRS and CB mics.

Switch pane is from Extreme Diesel, and links to the Blue Sea fuse panel on the passenger kick board. Used now for radios and USBs. Later add on for lights, maybe winch.

Magnet mount by my knee is for a knife or my G17.

All in all, she’s coming along nicely.

gotta chance to use the setup this past weekend. Got away from the 95 degree heat herein Charleston and went up to the NC mountains. about 45 minutes north of Asheville. Working on my father-in-laws house, we decided to camp while we worked. since we don’t have all the kitchen stuff worked out yet, it was nice to be close to food, toilet and showers. But it gave me a chance to see how to setup everything. Adjust some things, see what we needed and don’t need so on. Anyway the 23zero tent is absolutely brillian. Easy setup, comfortable. Having the Annex is a plus. Good place to keep gear, dog beds, bowls, etc. it’s a nice vinyl floor. The overland vehicle systems 270 awning is a breeze as well. Setup in minutes. My wife was super happy and had a great time. So planning some fall trips. Camping is no fun at 100 degrees , 75-85% humidity and 115 heat index around here in the summer.
