Who made the tire carrier? Is it a full bumper or hitch mounted? Great looking truck!!

Curious about your spare tire carrier. How is it mounted? Does it swing away for the tailgate to open?

I built it a few years ago. Wanted to add more to it but time, a move and life for I t the way of it. But it swings away on a ruff stuff byo carrier hinge and has a small lock for 90* open and at closed.

Built it years ago. Here a couple pics.
Ruff stuff axle for a hinge, swing away from the tailgate, spring lock for closed position and 90* open, destaco lock for the other end, works nicely.

Wanted to add a lot more to it but that’s life I guess.

Awesome RIG!!! I have been searching for a swing open spare mount for a while... for mid and small trucks you can find em all day, but not for our full sizers..!!! I checked out that ruff stuff byo carrier hinge, and I think I'm gonna go the same route!!! excellent design, and I REALLY appreciate you sharing it because I was just gonna make my own hinge...

Nice rig, I dig those older Fords. A friend of mine bought a 4x4 long bed crew cab diesel circa 1995 and I coveted that truck!
