Looking at finishing my trailer build, and have to decide if I want to mount my current Howlingmoon RTT on the trailer or sell it and buy a TTT (Trailer Top Tent). Is anyone using one of the made for trailer tents, like the Free Spirit Basecamp https://www.gofsr.com/product/base-camp-trailer-tent-9-ft/? CVT also just came out with one https://www.facebook.com/CVTTENTS/posts/1380609088653154.
I already own the Howlingmoon, and can mount it back on my truck if needed. One major problem is if I want to use the RTT, I have to build a lifting platform to properly use the annex, and it has to be able to lower to fit the trailer in my garage. The TTT would fit in my garage with no problem, and I don't have to fab a lifting system. Opinions?

There are several lifting styles one may use to gain appropriate height. One being gas shock, another is a spring loaded shock depress to release and strain to regain. Not recommended. Saw one that was winch down after spring release. Dumb idea. Depends on mechanical skills more than anything else. Not just another pretty face.
Top mount on a trailer. Roof rack custom or Yakima bars top out at 66 above ground still the best solution. Gives you garage privledges. With a normal RTT usually 16 in.
