Picked up a Dometic for a good price. Across from the Dometic trailer was the OB display. I didn't see Micheal and Corrie. The booth was being manned by volunteers it looked like. Wife and I figured wed stop by later to say hello and meet everyone. Looked around some more and decided to get some food, and thats when we got caught. LOL. We never saw where you had to pay to get in, and wed wandered around the whole XPO and didn't see anything. But when we were getting ready to get some food the employees were scouring the thing and stopped us and told us we had to go pay and pointed us to the place to pay. I asked the guy if he was kicking me out and he said Im just asking you to go pay. The wife and I looked at each other and looked at the guy and told him O.K. and started heading for the place where you pay. On the way to the place to pay I did stop at Desert Rat and picked up a HiLift. And since wed seen everything and weren't sure if there was anything else interesting to see or do, we just decided to leave. So, didn't get to meet Mike and Corrie. Maybe some other time. OXW was mildly interesting, but Im not real sure its worth the price they want to charge. I was kinda glad It worked out that I got in free. They didn't do a real good job of setting the thing up, IMO, because where we parked we wound up wandering in at the back I guess and never even saw the entrance till we left.
So we went to 5 guys and had burgers instead of eating food from one of the vendors. I love 5 guys.
On the way home I decided to explore a trail off the interstate Ive been wanting to see for about 10 years.
So it was a pretty good day. To bad we didn't get to meet the OB crew.

Lol free day out ain't bad I guess? xD I always thought of the expo to be a multi day event.. with camping and all the workshops and stuff. it doesn't look like the right event to just go for 1 day it seems like.

Expo is meant to be a pay to see how the rich travel the globe at our expense and to show off their rigs built from our dollars spent on gear that sometimes works sometimes not. It's a fun 3 day event pricey but fun

I live to close to bother with Camping at Expo W. Seriously, I live 45 minutes away. Also, I don't want to spend 3 days with that many people.
Of course, If I wanted I could figure out how to make it a dirt road trip there and back, and make it a 3 day overland trip. Ive been looking at a trail for a little bit that Im going to take a couple days here soon and see if I can follow it from my house to up around flag.
