We have several upcoming projects to help bring the Joshua Tree forest in the Mojave Preserve back after the the Dome Fire that burned 4.3 million trees. Some are Overland Bound Trail Guardian Events and others organized by NPDS. They are all scheduled for the fall 2022
Rally Points to come out in July or August.

October 7-9. Joshua Tree NP, collecting Joshua Tree seeds
October 14-16 Mojave Preserve, collecting Joshua Tree seeds
October 15 Mojave Preserve, finish the Kessler Ranch barn roof, help cleanup several ranches for the Mojave Land Trust so the properties an be handed over to the Preserve.
November 4-18 Mojave Preserve, help to plant 1000 Joshua Trees

Hi Kent, I am planning to be down in Mojave 4-13 Nov for the planting.
If things look good I may try to make the Oct seed collecting.

Hi Kent,
I'll commit to the Mojave Preserve again. Really enjoyed being part of the work parties up there earlier this year.
 
Rally Pint will come out about six weeks prior

I should have some more info by the end of the month.
The storms have caused havoc in the Preserve and Joshua Tree.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out. I'm due to get my camper the beginning of October and will be driving down to Flagstaff. Doing something like this on the way back sounds like the best way to break it in, especially Mojave since I've never been there.

FYI, we are good to go for October 15, this will be a big Trail Guardian with lots of added projects due to the storms.
Rally Point coming out around the end of the month.

Hey Kent,

Is there anything a cripple can do to help out on one of these? I have a car hauler trailer and would volunteer to help move loads but cant do a lot physically and do not want to get in the way. Perhaps more of a come and see for the first trip? Like I said, dont want to be dead weight you will have to then worry about, too bad Im all fucked up cause I would have loved this kind of shit before my health got in the way.

Well ok then, ill run it by my partner and see if we can make any of the dates work out. Would it make sense to bring the car hauler flat bed trailer or not?

I will need to get back to you on that. Once we finalize the projects I will know more.
 
@Motomikeca Get your crew together we have a go for the Mojave October 15.
