Not a Jeep install, but something of interest to anyone that wants more counter space in their camp kitchen. I'm in the middle of a "remodel" and this is phase one. New cooler slide and fold-down table. This will be used for firing up the JetBoil for tea, making sandwiches or anytime I need a flat surface to work on. Next up is the stove slide and cookware storage.

Had the "bracket" fabricated by James at Steel Feathers Welding in Oregon City

35 Qt Engel locked down with turnbuckles holds the table in place.

When the cooler slide is extended the table can be deployed, as can the cutting board underneath. The mount is fairly rigid and rattle is limited to the cutting board at this time.... I'll be working on that.

Oh man that is seriously clever and great use of space!! It is unfortunate that I can only "Like" your post once.

Looks good! I am a fan of both the wolfpacks and the tailgate cutting board. Two of my top items for the Jeep.

Stupid question, did anyone sand and stain the wood extension?
I apologize in my delay to respond to your question, but no, I did not stain mine. I will say that I have been wanting too. Actually I'd like to paint mine a bright red then seal it so that I can still prep food on it. Maybe a project for the fall.

I so went with the 1/4 -20 nut certs. Super solid. Sanded mine and stained it black. The oy think I seem to have a problem with is it always opens when driving. Drives me crazy every time I open my back door my table is down.need to figure out a way to strap it closed.

That's unfortunate!! So far I've had no issue with my table opening when I close my tailgate or during travel. I have read about this happening before and the owner said that with a rag and pliers, he very very slightly bent the lockings tabs down a bit. Had no issue after. Hope this helps!!

Eh, I'd have to check...shipping would likely kill it as I am across the country in NC.
Let me know how much you want for the table & I am located in alpine Ca. 91901 for shipping costs thanks again

I fitted my Front Runner Tailgate Table yesterday; but as mentioned above the nuts supplied are not great and i actually lost 2 into the tailgate when fitting! The table is currently attached throguh just 2 points.

I already have the 10mm holes in the tailgate and was wondering if anyone has any good ideas for what mounting hardware to use in place of the 2 lost run nuts?
