Once the upper and lower mounts were in place, I assembled the links and turnbuckles. I crimped the upper cable end and used heat shrink. Then I put the cable through the turnbuckle eye, pulled it tight, folded it back, and marked it for cutting. I cut the cable to length, crimped it, and heat shrinked it. Finally, I adjusted the turnbuckles to tension the cables. I added heat shrink around the lower clamp threads to prevent my hood paint from getting scratched when opening the hood, since the threads are sharp. Done!
