So I started with the tent mounted to the truck and soon found that it would be nice if I could leave the tent stationary well hunting. Also it would be nice if I could use our two door jeep to take it camping. So I got online and found a trailer for $575 put about $200 in paint and this is what the end result is.

Need cheap ideas for Solar power.
Looks good! I love a good utility trailer.
Those built-in side boxes will come in handy as hell, allowing the cargo bed to be utilized in a different way for home and yard projects as well as camping.
As for ideas for solar power, it's like most other things; you get what you pay for. A lot of inexpensive alternatives will be cheap in construction, durability, and ability to gather power, so potentially frustrating, but may help you start understanding what you'll need in the long run for a better system.
Asking about solar is also like most other things, a lot of variety in opinion about which type--permanent or folding or flexible--is best.
My best advice is to do some research, gather info on which applications seem to suit your needs and camping style best, then choose which will be most effective as far as cost and value for your situation.
For the way I travel and camp, I much prefer folding panels (for their flexibility in placement) feeding deep cycle batteries through a good enough solar charge controller that allows me to see actual figures, not just a bar graph or colored lights. I've learned enough now to be able to build my own larger folding panels and not have to pay the higher cost of pre-built kits with controllers and folding frames built-in.
