I have been away from the off-road scene for the last few years. Life happens. I am starting to come back to it. I am now retired so that should help with time, I hope. I am sure there is a lot to catch up on. Just wanted to say and Re-introduce myself, so:

My name is Chris, recently retired from the US Army, I currently live Georgia (US State, not the country), and I no longer have a 4WD vehicle. I have an AWD, not the same thing, and I will be doing more "soft-roading" these days.

very cool...

love Georgia...not a lot of vehicle off roading...BUT there are a LOT of great hiking trails including the A.T.
we generally spend a couple weeks at Vogel and hike all over...you live in a great area!

Welcome back! Also retired Army! The GA Traverse is in your backyard and the AWD will do just fine!!! There is also the Smoky Mountain 1000, which is extremely fun run! This pic is part of the GAT starting near Dalton. Frog loop! And if you get tired there is also a glamping station in the middle… not my cup of tea but I was surprised when I found it near a beautiful waterfall.
